Meet the Pastor

Rev Bob Mitchell has served our church since July 2009.  Having served over 12yrs in United Methodist ministry, he comes to Loudonville UMC with a proven track record of revitalizing ministries and empowering churches for the glory of God.  Pastor Bob, as an Ordained Elder of the United Methodist Church, holds an undergraduate degree in Psychology and is a graduate of the Methodist Theological School of Ohio, having received both a Master’s of Divinity and also a Master’s in Christian Education.  He has worked extensively in developing both children and youth ministry programs for churches, as well as serving in gang ministry, small group ministries, family discipline modeling, crisis intervention mediator and has served as a spiritual disciplines life-coach.  Last year, Pastor Bob graduated from the New Church Start Academy, a prestigious 2-yr institute funded by the East Ohio Annual Conference to build new generations of leaders specializing in congregational development, church revitalization and church planting technique.  
Bob grew up in northeastern PA, where he met his High School sweetheart and loving wife, Carey. They originally came to Ohio,  so Bob could attend Seminary here, but they enjoyed it enough that they pulled up roots and started a family here.  The Mitchells have 4 kiddos:  Noah (12) , Jonah (10), Chloe (6) and Magdalene (5).
